AMANI QUAIL PROJECT:
Quail meat
Quail meat is a sweet and delicate white game meat with extremely low skin fat and low cholesterol value. Quail meat is rich in micronutrients and a wide range of vitamins including the B complex, folate and vitamin E and K. It is therefore recommended for people with high cholesterol levels and those who want to maintain a low level of cholesterol.
Quail eggs
Quail eggs are very delicious and comparable in taste to free-range chicken eggs. Their nutritional value is 3 – 4 times higher than that of chicken eggs. Quail eggs contain 13% protein while chicken eggs have about 11%. Quail eggs have 140µg of vitamin B1, compared to 50µg in chicken eggs. Quail eggs are much richer in vitamin B2, iron, potassium, calcium and phosphorus than chicken eggs.
SO THIS IS WHY AMANI HAS SEEN IT FIT TO START THIS PROJECT:

Current Projects at Amani Centre

Picture
The Amani Hostel at the main centre in Chamvino is getting a fresh new white lock as of Tuesday the 8th of May, 2012. The newly painted building is looking very nice.

Other projects:

Other projects include repairing windows, leaking roofs in some of the older buildings at the main centre and buying more furniture for the Hostel.

At Mvomero Sub-centre: the big project here is to create a hostel similar to the Main Centre which would house a special school.

At Mikese Sub-centre: A Mango tree farm was started recently and today there are 60 trees at the farm, but the goal is to reach 6000. The plan is also to keep rabbits and sell the meat, but also to increase the number of goats for selling. The water catchment is still under construction.
